My Review
Hold Still has an all-around depressing tone to it. It's about a teenager named Caitlin, whose best friend, Ingrid, committed suicide. I'm not typically a huge fan of books such as this one -- where nothing much happens throughout. The entire book is just Caitlin dealing with Ingrid's death and her trying to get over it in her own way.
The book was written well and was a good read. I kind of enjoyed it. As I said, though, it was very depressing to read. So, I don't know how enjoyable such a depressing story can be. LaCour, however, is very talented in her ability to draw the reader in to what Caitlin is feeling. I was so sad for her while reading this novel.
Not sure what else to really say about this one. If you don't mind being enveloped into such a depressing story and just reading about a young girl facing this tragedy, I would recommend it. LaCour did a very good job with it.

Perhaps I'll read this one. Although I wouldn't want to be reading depressing books all of the time, I don't mind them occasionally. :)
